You will want to present your needs and ideas, and listen to the designer's observations and suggestions.

You may wish to check a designer's references and education and ask to see their portfolio. Discuss the scope of the services you need and assess your compatibility. Ask for a written agreement that clarifies your understanding of the nature of the design and the work to be performed.

Neither VSLD nor officers will bear any responsibility for the performance of its members under any
contract which you may enter with them. As a potential client of a member, it is your responsibility
to choose a designer who has the necessary experience and skill that you require.
